If booze and cigarettes were a part of food stamps I think we all would be in trouble. Instead the former manager of J.G. Food Mart in San Antonio is the one in trouble and sentenced up to 20 years in prison for “trafficking” food stamps in his store. Policed investigated the 57 year old, Jesus Pugal Guico Jr., from January 2011 to December 2012 as he allowed customers to purchase booze, cigarettes, gas and other non-food stamp items. Guico is charged with three counts of wire fraud while admitting his ineligible trades and cash benefits added up to up to nearly $200,000.
