OCALA, FL. — A Boy Scout was scammed while selling popcorn and snacks for his troop outside a Florida Walmart.
The thief used a fake $100 bill to rip off the 12-year-old.

Police say the man wanted to buy trail mix, but only had a $100 bill on him.
What the scout did not know was the bill was counterfeit, and he handed the man back $80 in change.
“This is money that they earn to do their summer camps, to buy their uniforms and activities. It irritates me a lot,” said Riley Couture’s dad, Luis Lecha.
The scout, while sad, did not let the incident stop him from continuing his fundraising.
